DEC 2O 1988 <br />BOOK i5 I VJE 421 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The Indian River County Department of Emergency Management Services <br />has received the attached FY -89 Emergency Management Assistance <br />Agreement (EMA) from the Federal Emergency Management Agency through <br />the Department of Community Affairs in the amount of $24,313.43 <br />which is matched by the County government. The funds will be util- <br />ized to complete the Scope of Work contained in the agreement with- <br />in allowed time frames. Also included in the allocation iswcompen- <br />sation to reimburse the County for fifteen (15%) percent of the <br />salary of the Director and clerical staff. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The allocation of funds is based on monitoring report completed by <br />state officials on site. The Department of Emergency Management <br />Services received the maximum number of points during the program <br />analysis and evaluation. The funding will allow the Department of <br />Emergency Management Services to continue to improve and expand the <br />current program. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of the FY -89 Emergency Management Assist- <br />ance Agreement and requests the Board of County Commissioners auth- <br />orize the Chairman to sign the three original copies of the contract <br />which are attached to this memorandum. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Eggert, the Board unanimously approved <br />the FY -89 Emergency Management Assistance Agreement <br />with the DCA and authorized the Chairman to sign the <br />three original copies. <br />COPY OF SAID AGREEMENT (PARTIALLY SIGNED) IS ON FILE IN THE <br />OFFICE OF CLERK TO THE BOARD. <br />GOLDEN SANDS PARK PROJECT, CHANGE ORDER #1 (BARTH CONSTRUCTION) <br />The Board reviewed the following memo: <br />22 <br />
