The <br />of that department <br />3 Worker's Compensation Adjusters <br />3 Worker's Compensation Processors <br />Risk Manager, Asst. Risk Manager <br />Safety Coordinator, Asst. Safety Coordinator <br />2 Safety Officers <br />3 Secretaries <br />Outside Adjusting company <br />Presently Brevard County has a Risk Management Department <br />comprised of seven individuals. There are 2,800 employees <br />in Brevard County. The structure of that department is: <br />Risk Manager <br />Senior and Junior Safety and Health Officers <br />Loss Control Specialist <br />3 Claims Specialists <br />Although Broward County has 5,000 employees and Indian River County <br />has only 550, the comparison is shown so that the necessity for <br />loss prevention individuals is shown in addition to a Risk Manager. <br />In order to accomplish the above objectives, monies must be <br />provided as no monies were budgeted for safety in the <br />Risk Management budget for fiscal 88-89. A summary of estimated <br />costs is includes: <br />1. Micro Computer AT style <br />Color Monitor <br />Software - Lotus, Word Perfect <br />Printer - Laser <br />2. Two beepers for use by <br />Risk Manager and Safety <br />Coordinator. <br />3. Safety Coordinator - <br />Includes benefit package + <br />one 5% increase. Base pay <br />23,146.00. <br />4. Funds for video rental, <br />safety posters, safety <br />awards, training experts, <br />driver's license checks, <br />driver's school training. <br />VCR and T.V. to conduct <br />safety meetings. <br />$4850.00 <br />$5-00.00 <br />$23,487.00 <br />$15,000.00 <br />5.
