Collins II <br />Acting County Administrator <br />FROM: James W. Davis, P.E., <br />Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Change Order No. 1 - <br />Wabasso Causeway Dredging <br />DATE: December 16, 1988 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The dredging of the Indian River beneath the two western CR510 <br />causeway bridges is complete. In measuring final quantities, <br />the volume of material dredged is 5,600 cubic yards by 500 cubic <br />yards. The attached Change Order No. 1 reconciling the final <br />quantities and increasing the contract amount by $1,500 is <br />attached. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The only alternative presented by staff is to recommend approval <br />of Change Order No. 1 and authorize the Chairman to execute the <br />Change Order. <br />RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING <br />It is recommended that Change Order No. 1 be approved increasing <br />the contract amount by $1,500. Since the work is complete, staff <br />also recommend final payment to the Contractor. Funding to be <br />from a FIND grant in the amount of $50,000 and County Road and <br />Bridge Div. budgeted funds. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously approved <br />Change Order #1 in the amount of $1,500 and also final <br />payment to the Contractor. Funding to be from a FIND <br />grant in the amount of $50,000 and County Road and <br />Bridge Division budgeted funds, as set out in the above <br />staff recommendation. <br />66 <br />
