If a situation exists <br />which poses a serious or imminent threat to the <br />health, safety, welfare, or public need and <br />convenience, the EMS Director shall have such <br />temporary emergency powers as are necessary to <br />remedy the situation. <br />SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE <br />This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon <br />becoming law. <br />Approved and adopted by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, on this 17th <br />day of January <br />, 1989. <br />This ordinance was advertised in the Vero Beach Press <br />Journal on the 30th day of December , 1988, for a <br />public hearing to be held on the 17th day of January <br />1989, at which time it was moved for adoption by <br />Commissioner Bowman seconded by Commissioner <br />Eggert , and adopted by the following vote: <br />Attest: <br />Chairman Gary C.
