Commissioner Eggert advised that the Emergency Services <br />Coordinating Committee unanimously recommends adoption of this <br />ordinance. <br />Chairman Wheeler opened the Public Hearing, and asked if <br />anyone wished to be heard in this matter. There were none. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowman, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Ordinance 89-4, amending Ordinance 87-66, which <br />relates to certification of basic and advanced life <br />support services, by providing an expanded definition <br />for EMS Director and providing emergency powers to the <br />director. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 89- 4 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 87-66, <br />WHICH RELATES TO CERTIFICATION OF BASIC <br />AND ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT SERVICES, BY <br />PROVIDING AN EXPANDED DEFINITION FOR EMS <br />DIRECTOR AND PROVIDING EMERGENCY POWERS <br />TO THE DIRECTOR. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by Indian River County, acting through <br />its Board of County Commissioners, that: <br />SECTION 1.
