En) 1989 <br />PROCLAMATION <br />BOOK <br />riEI4 <br />WHEREAS, Freda R. Wright announced her retirement as <br />the Clerk of the Circuit Court effective December, 1988 and <br />we wish to express our appreciation for her outstanding <br />career on behalf of local government; and <br />WHEREAS, Freda R. Wright is a native of Vero Beach <br />born September 8, 1922 when Vero Beach was part of St. Lucie <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS, Freda R. Wright's family settled in Indian <br />River County and was among the pioneers of this County; and <br />WHEREAS, in November, 1942 Freda R. Wright was <br />employed by the Clerk of the Circuit Court and remained <br />until 1946 when she left to be a full-time mother; she <br />returned to the Clerk's office in 1951; and <br />WHEREAS, in 1967 Freda R. Wright became Chief Deputy <br />Clerk, a position she held until 1976; and <br />WHEREAS, Freda R. Wright was elected as Clerk of the <br />Circuit Court in November, 1976 by the citizens of Indian <br />River County; she took office in January, 1977 and continued <br />until her retirement in December, 1988; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the <br />Board expresses its deep appreciation for the services FREDA <br />R.
