4. Speed Limit at 16th Avenue/14th Street <br />The City has recommended that the Vero Beach Police increase <br />enforcement around that intersection, and that the school <br />reduction zone be extended north of the elementary school <br />area. <br />5. FDOT Five-year Plan <br />Committee recommended that FDOT be contacted to voice the <br />County's concern that some projects that should have been <br />funded this year have not been shown on their 5 -year plan. <br />6. Vero Beach Transportation Element <br />Dennis Ragsdale gave a brief overview of the City's <br />Comprehensive Plan Transportation Element, and asked for <br />comments from the Committee members and County staff. All <br />comments are to be directed to Jim Davis, who will then <br />forward them on to the City. <br />7. County Transportation Element <br />Bob Keating reviewed how his staff has developed the <br />Comprehensive Plan. Cheri Boudreaux explained how the new <br />Florida Standard Urbanization Transportation Program works. <br />NORTH COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT MEETING <br />Chairman Wheeler announced that immediately upon <br />adjournment, the Board would reconvene sitting as the District <br />Board of Fire Commissioners of the North Indian River County Fire <br />District.
