They have another 4 buildings they are planning <br />to the north. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, to approve the landscaping plan for <br />Sea Oaks Villas I contingent on Sea Oaks getting with our <br />staff for "a proposed list of planting material that would <br />grow to a little higher height, i.e., 3-4' above the ground <br />level, to be added to the -cross hatched areas. <br />Chairman Wheeler did not see if they can agree to work with <br />the Management Plan in the future, why can't they do it now, and <br />Mr. Waterman noted that they are ready to go to construction. <br />The Chairman believed that we could still continue on here <br />and make this subject to the Management Plan along with the other <br />4 phases. He did not believe that would slow things down at all. <br />Mr. Waterman stressed that they have been slowed down <br />substantially already. <br />Commissioner Bird emphasized that he would rather not make <br />it mandatory because that again would be changing the rules in <br />the middle of the game. Obviously if they are going tp do 3 or 4 <br />more buildings, they are going to want this building to look <br />compatible and not have it stand out like a sore thumb. By the <br />time they get this building permitted and under construction and <br />it is time for the landscaping, the Management Plan will be long <br />done, and they can certainly comply with it if they feel it is <br />compatible, but he did not want to force it on them. <br />Commissioner Scurlock felt his Motion was quite clear, and <br />Commissioners Eggert and Bowman urged that they concentrate on <br />eugenia for their plantings. <br />Commissioner Bowman commented that she could even approve <br />the Resolution if the language were to be changed by taking out <br />the continuous opaque native vegetation screen and simply require <br />FEB 21 •i SJ 45 <br />PooK 76 pAGi.2O5 <br />
