ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 89-23, authorizing the transmittal of a <br />Comprehensive Plan amendment application, staff <br />recommendations, and the recommendations of the local <br />planning agency to the Florida Dept. of Community <br />Affairs for a mandatory 90 -day review period. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89- 23 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE <br />TRANSMITTAL OF A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT APPLICATION, <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS, AND THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE LOCAL <br />PLANNING AGENCY TO THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS OF THE <br />STATE OF FLORIDA FOR A MANDATORY NINETY DAY REVIEW PERIOD. <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 163 of the Florida Statutes, requires that <br />local governments prepare and adopt Comprehensive Plans, and <br />WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners has adopted a <br />Comprehensive Plan pursuant to Florida Statutes, and <br />WHEREAS, Florida Statutes provide for the amendment of <br />Comprehensive Plans directly related to a proposed development of <br />regional impact, and . <br />WHEREAS, The Planning and Zoning Commission, sitting as the <br />local planning agency, has held public hearings and made <br />recommendations concerning this amendment, and <br />WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners has held a <br />preliminary public hearing concerning this amendment, and <br />WHEREAS, Florida Statutes require that the Board of County <br />Commissioners pass a resolution authorizing the transmittal of <br />this Comprehensive Plan Amendment to the Department of Community <br />Affiars of the State of Florida for a mandatory ninety day review <br />period, <br />15 <br />FES 28 1989 <br />BOOK 76 PACE 235 <br />
