McCAIN <br />PROJECTS ENGINEER <br />DEPARTMENT OF UTIL Y SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: 'SEWER COLLECTION AND LIFT STATION FOR 6TH AVENUE <br />FROM U.S. #1 NORTH TO 8TH STREET <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Several months ago, the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners approved a Work Authorization with Masteller & Moler <br />Associates, Inc., to design a sewer collection at the aforementioned <br />location. The design of this project has been completed and is <br />ready to go out to bid. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />We have set this project up as an Assessment District, and will <br />assess the property owners along the route of the project <br />accordingly. To this end, we have prepared the first two of four <br />resolutions necessary for an assessment project and are now bringing <br />them to the.Board for approval. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the attached Resolutions so <br />that we may set a hearing date for the Preliminary Assessment (see <br />attached project schedule). <br />JUN 61989 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 89-57, providing for special <br />assessments for installation of a sewer collection <br />system along the west side of 6th Avenue from 8th <br />Street to U.S. #1. <br />67 <br />�. <br />BOOK U FAr, 1,6 <br />
