He thinks
a referendum will pass, but his position is that it will cost us a
good deal more in the long run. He agreed there is no question
that there will be an on-going expense involved with this
acquisition, but an integral part of our way of life in our
community is our atmosphere, and it is Memorial Island, and the
river and the wetlands, and all those kind of things, and they are
essential to the kind of community he wants to live in.
