H. Proclamation - Respiratory Care Week <br />PROCLAMATION <br />WHEREAS, the health and welfare of our citizens are our top <br />priority for which we need support of all our fellow community <br />*members; and <br />WHEREAS, respiratory care is an allied health specialty used <br />in the diagnosis, treatment, and control of patients with <br />deficiencies or abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system; and <br />WHEREAS, the services offered by respiratory therapists and <br />technicians, as licensed by the State of Florida, are vital to <br />the health and well-being of our citizens; and <br />WHEREAS, the Florida Society for Respiratory Care, as an <br />affiliate of the American Association for Respiratory Care, <br />represents our respiratory care practitioners in the State of <br />Florida; and <br />WHEREAS, in recognition of their services to the health care <br />of all mankind and their dedication to the de -livery of their <br />specialized services and expansion of their professional <br />organizations: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Florida that the week of <br />October 1-7, 1989 be observed as <br />RESPIRATORY CARE WEEK <br />and the Board further urges all citizens of Indian River County <br />to recognize the important contributions of our respiratory care <br />practitioners to the health care profession, and salute these <br />dedicated individuals on this special occasion. <br />g <br />Adopted October 3, 1989 <br />CT 3 <br />'11 <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />c. <br />GaryC, Wheeler, Chairman <br />BOOK (6 F';E. <br />
