IRC HEALTH DEPARTMENT - PROGRESS UPDATE FROM LEE RAMOS, ARCHITECT <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 10/5/89: <br />DATE: OCTOBER 5, 1989 <br />TO: JAMES E. CHANDLER <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />FROM: H.T. "SONNY" DEAN, DIRECTOR <br />DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERV <br />SUBJECT: INDIAN RIVER COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT <br />PROJECT NUMBER - IRC 85-04 <br />Lee Ramos, architect for the subject project met with me on <br />Wednesday and Thursday of this week to discuss how we were <br />progressing and if our time schedule was in tact. It is obvious <br />':to me, that we are within the last up -dated time frame. <br />A tentative cost estimate was provided to us by Ramos and he feels <br />we will be within his original estimated budget. <br />It is requested that you provide time on the October 17th, Board <br />of County Commissioners meeting for a presentation to up -date the <br />Board on progress of this project. Mr. Ramos will provide <br />drawings of the proposed building and answer any questions. <br />General Services Director Sonny Dean introduced Mr. Lee <br />Ramos, architect for the Public Health Dept. <br />Mr. Ramos gave an overall report of the progress that has <br />been made on the Health Building to be erected behind the County <br />Administration Building at 18th Avenue and 27th Street, showing <br />the site plan and floor plans for the 36,000 square foot, 2 -story <br />building. The building will have an elevator and a dumbwaiter <br />that will serve the Clinic's laboratory on the first floor and <br />the DER laboratory on the second floor. The first floor will <br />contain the Clinic itself, the Veterans Administration Office, <br />the County Welfare Dept., and an auditorium with a capacity of <br />over 100 people. The second floor will house the Dept. of <br />Environmental Health office and their laboratory, plus the <br />Clinic's administrative offices, vital statistics office, and a <br />nurses' conference room. <br />Mr. Ramos concluded his presentation after showing graphics <br />of the four elevations of the building and a colored perspective <br />37 <br />CT 171999 <br />
