USDA, Soil Conservation Service and IRC Working Agreement <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 10/30/89: <br />DATE: OCTOBER 30, 1989 <br />TO: HONORABLE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />THRU: JAMES E. CHANDLER - <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />FROM: H.T. "SONNY" DEAN, DIRECTOR <br />DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVIS <br />SUBJECT: USDA, SOIL CONVERSATION SERVICE AND <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY WORKING AGREEMENT <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Soil Conversation Service has requested approval of an amendment <br />:which states that the County will comply with all provisions <br />contained in the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the Civil Rights <br />:Restoration Act of 1989 along with other non-discrimination statues. <br />;'It also states that the County will comply with the Drug -Free <br />Workplace Act of 1988. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Staff recommends approval and request the Board approve and authorize <br />:their Chairman to execute the attached amendment. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (4-0), Commis- <br />sioner Eggert being absent, approved the amendment <br />to the Working Agreement between IRC and the Soil <br />Conservation Service, and authorized the Chairman's <br />signature, as recommended by staff. <br />COPY OF PARTIALLY SIGNED AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE <br />1 <br />OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD. <br />20 <br />
