BETWEEN U.S.I & OLD DIXIE <br />(INDIAN RIVER PACKING CO. - T. M. BARNES) <br />The Board reviewed the following memo: <br />TO: James Chandler <br />County Administrator <br />FROM: James W. Davis, P.E. <br />Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Exchange of Right -of -Way Deeds for 47th Street <br />between US 1 and Old Dixie Highway - Indian River <br />Packing Co. (T.M. Barnes, Owner) <br />REF. MEMO: Lea Keller to James Davis dated Oct. 27, 1989 <br />DATE: October 30 1989 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />During implementation the Gifford Sewer Construction project and <br />paving of 47th Street (a local road west of US 1), the County <br />staff and Indian River Packing Co. have mutually agreed to an <br />exchange of right-of-way deeds to realign 47th Street. The <br />attached deed accomplishes this exchange on the County's behalf <br />(0.10 acre involved). Indian River Packing Co. is executing a <br />similar deed, and all instruments are being executed and placed <br />in escrow until a time for exchange is determined. <br />;ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />' Since no monetary compensation is involved in the transaction and <br />both staff and the property owner have cooperated in the <br />V,construction of improvements within the 47th corridor, the only <br />„f.alternative presented by staff is to approve the exchange of <br />- deeds. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />It is recommended that the Chairman be authorized to execute the <br />attached deed to be put in escrow until the exchange is made with <br />Indian River Packing Co.
