developing new boating regulations to improve safety and also <br />protect manatees. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bird, to appoint an ad hoc committee <br />to be composed as Commissioner Bowman has outlined <br />in the above memo and specify that the committee <br />sunset after completion of that one activity. <br />Attorney Vitunac noted that it cannot be an ad hoc committee <br />if it is appointed by the Board. It would be a real formal <br />committee, and Commissioner Scurlock felt that would be fine. <br />Appointments were discussed, and Administrator Chandler <br />noted that timing is of the essence since we only have about 60 <br />days to get back to the state. <br />Chairman Wheeler believed he can have recommendations for <br />appointments back by next week, and Commissioner Bowman advised <br />that she has already written Brevard County and asked them to <br />send us their data. They were under an emergency ruling in <br />regard to the.
