US -89 -14 -ED <br />PREPARED AND STAFFED BY: JOHN FREDERICK LANG X. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST <br />DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Board of County Commissioners approved a contract with Post, <br />Buckley, Schuh and Jernigan, Inc., on November 15, 1988. This firm <br />is currently shortlisted as our primary consultant for wastewater <br />effluent disposal. <br />The Sod Farm is receiving reclaimed water from the West Regional <br />Wastewater Plant and is accepting approximately 40% of the plant's <br />total effluent five days per week. <br />Pursuant to the FDER Permit No. DC31-151803, the County must <br />construct (3) three monitoring wells at the Sod Farm to monitor <br />groundwater quality. <br />The construction of the wells is. being conducted as an open bid to <br />open November 22, 1989.
