Pr - <br />DEC m: <br />BOOK 78 PAGE 545 <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />Since the final assessment to the benefited owners is less than <br />the preliminary assessment roll, the only alternative presented <br />is to approve the final assessment roll. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />It is recommended that the final assessment roll and the "As <br />Built Resolution" for the paving of the above mentioned road be <br />approved by the Board of County Commissioners and that it be <br />transferred to the Office of the Clerk to the Board for recording <br />in the "Assessment Lien Book" and to the Tax Collectors office <br />for collection. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board unanimously adopted Resolu- <br />tion 89-151 certifying "As -Built" costs for paving <br />and drainage improvements to Florida Ridge Subdivision, <br />and approving the final assessment roll and collection <br />thereof. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89- 151 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY. CERTIFYING <br />"AS -BUILT" COSTS FOR CERTAIN PAVING AND DRAINAGE <br />IMPROVEMENTS TO FLORIDA RIDGE SUBDIVISION, <br />DESIGNATED AS PROJECT NO. 8538, AND OTHER <br />CONSTRUCTION NECESSITATED BY SUCH PROJECT; <br />PROVIDING FOR FORMAL COMPLETION DATE, AND DATE FOR <br />PAYMENT WITHOUT PENALTY AND INTEREST. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County determined that the improvements for the property <br />located with boundaries as described in this title, designated as <br />Project No. 8538, were necessary to promote the public welfare <br />of the county; and <br />WHEREAS, on July 7, 1987, the Board held a public <br />hearing at which time and place and the owners of the property <br />to be assessed appeared before the Board to be heard as to the <br />propriety and advisability of making such improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, after such public hearing was held the County <br />Commission adopted Resolution No. 87-61, which confirmed the <br />special assessment cost of the project to the property specially <br />benefited by the project in the amounts listed in an attachment <br />to that resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has certified the <br />actual "as -built" cost now that the project has been completed <br />is $1,040.59 per parcel, which is less than $1,041.39 per parcel <br />40 <br />
