County Commission <br />Post Office Box 783 <br />Wabasso, Florida 32970 ' <br />Dear Commissioner Bowman: <br />• <br />At the annual meeting of the Treasure Coast Council of Local Governments on <br />Wednesday, November 15th, a decision was made by the Council to have circulated <br />to each governmental entity, a copy of: the statute relating to Over and Under 21 <br />Dances. The City of Fort Pierce has ,gpdorsed asking the Legislature to remove <br />this portion of the law relating to bars':and taverns. Each entity is asked to con- <br />sider whether it wishes to support the 'position of the City of Fort Pierce in this <br />matter. A copy of the statute is enclosed. <br />Since the Legislation Hearing will come after the appointment of a new Legis- <br />lative Chairman, I am requesting that you send your responses to the Honorable <br />Frank Wacha, Martin . County Commission, 2401 Monterey Road, Stuart, Florida, <br />34996. Commissioner Wacha is the new Chairman of our Council and he will then <br />h:':, be able to forward your responses to the new Legislative Chairman for appropriate <br />actionby that Chairman. <br />• <br />• <br />The Council unanimously approved the appointment of a full time lobbyist for <br />the Treasure Coast Council of Local Governments. It. will be necessary -for --each <br />entity._ to -agree -to -the employment-of--the_lobbyist, and to the expenditure -of -funds <br />fOT-the position. I .am enclosing a copy of Population and Cost Figures which could <br />be rThe'ifiod"rcor determining cost for each entity. I am also enclosing an Interlocal <br />Agreement for your perusal.
