DEC 12 1989 <br />BOOK 78 F'3,GF <br />MASTER AGREEMENT AND WORK ORDERS 1 AND 2 - PROFESSIONAL CIVIL <br />ENGINEERING AND LAND SURVEYING SERVICES - KIMLEY HORN AND <br />ASSOCIATES, INC.. <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 12/5/89: <br />TO: James E. Davis, P.E., <br />Public Works Director,1 <br />SUBJECT: Master Agreement and Work Orders 1 and 2 <br />for Professional Civil Engineering and Land <br />Surveying Services - <br />Kimley Horn and Associates, Inc. <br />DATE: December 5, 1989 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />As authorized by the Board in July, the Public Works staff <br />has completed contract negotiations with Kimley Horn and <br />Associates for the design of four petition paving projects <br />and road widening improvements along Oslo from US 1 to west <br />of Old Dixie Highway. The Master Agreement and Work Orders <br />No. 1 and 2 are attached. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The staff has negotiated competitive fees and has defined <br />detailed scope of work. The alternatives are as follows: <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Approve the Master Agreement and Work Orders No. 1 and <br />2. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Not approve the Work Orders, but design the projects <br />with current staff. Due to current staffing shortages, <br />the alternative is not recommended. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Alternative No. 1 is recommended whereby the Master <br />Agreement and Work Orders No. 1 and 2 would be approved. <br />Funding for Work Order No. 1 in the amount of $25,700 is <br />from Petition Paving Fund 173-214. Funding in the amount of <br />$44,500 shall be from District 6 Impact Fees Fund 101-156, <br />current balance is $825,000 with $590,000 budgeted in the <br />attached 1989/90 Road Project Fund Program. <br />54 <br />
