McCAI <br />CAPITAL PROJECTS E <br />DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY RVICES <br />BACKGROUND <br />On October 3, 1989, the Indian River Board of County Commissioners <br />approved Summer Place Phase One, east side of A -1-A, as an emergency. <br />action project. This action was based on numerous well failures and <br />on the recommendation of the State Environmental Health Department. <br />To this end, we have had plans and specifications prepared for the <br />project. These plans have been used to get price quotes for the <br />installation of the water system. <br />ANALYSIS <br />We received four price quotes for this job. They are as follows: <br />1. AOB Underground, Inc. $73,105.00 <br />2. Belvedere Construction Company $77,740.00 <br />3. Collee Underground Company $88,847.00 <br />4. Ted Myers Contracting Company, Inc. $96,689.71 <br />It was also requested that a best time of completion be submitted <br />with the price quotes. Both of the low bidders would complete the <br />job within 60 days.
