Keating, AICP 0444 <br />Community Development Director <br />DATE: November 30, 1989 <br />SUBJECT: DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS <br />LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATION <br />ASSISTANCE GRANT CONTRACT <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at their <br />regular meeting of December 12, 1989. <br />DESCRIPTION & CONDITIONS: <br />At its meeting of October 24, 1989, the Board authorized the <br />chairman to execute and the staff to submit an application for <br />Department of Community Affairs (DCA) Land Development Regulation <br />Assistance grant funds. The application was for the $49,816 that <br />has been earmarked for Indian River County. <br />Recently, the state notified the County that its grant applica- <br />tion has been approved. Along with this notification, the state <br />provided three originals of a proposed contract between the DCA <br />and the county. These documents must now be executed in order to <br />obtain the referenced funds. <br />ALTERNATIVES & ANALYSIS: <br />Both the dollar amount and the scope of services contained in the <br />application have been incorporated within the contract. There- <br />fore, the attached contract is consistent with the application <br />previously approved by the Board. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners <br />authorize tha chairman to execute the attached contract between <br />the DCA and the county. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously approved <br />the DCA Local Government Land Development Regulation <br />Assistance Program Contract, and authorized the <br />Chairman's signature. <br />CONTRACT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />DEC 1 2 198g <br />5 <br />BOOK. 78 rA E 570 <br />
