Mascola, CEO Manager <br />Division of Purchasing <br />SUBJ: IRC BID#90-15/ALUNIINUM BUILDINGS <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Subject Bid for Aluminum Buildings was properly advertised <br />and Ten (10) Invitations to bid were sent out. On Nov. 27, 1989 <br />bids were received. One (1) vendor submitted a proposal for the <br />c cmmodity.. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />Staff has reviewed the submittal to ascertain adherence to <br />`specifications. Acran Building Corporation was the low bidder <br />'that met all requirements. <br />• <br />FUNDING: <br />'M+onies for this project will c:acne frau ' Bond _ Proceeds. • <br />ON: . <br />Staff recommends the Award of a fixed contract for $7,740.00 <br />to the low bicidpr Acrcan Building Corporation. for the subject <br />commodity. <br />Commissioner Eggert commented that she was just surprised <br />that we got only one bid on this. <br />Director Dean advised that we only got one other contact <br />after we put out the invitations to bid, and he said he had <br />forgotten the date and was late in submitting it. <br />Commissioner Eggert asked if our bid list is adequate, and <br />Director Dean stressed that staff is constantly trying to update <br />the bid list, and we also advertised in the paper. <br />Commissioner Bird guessed that if we have a problem, it is <br />not in the number of bidders, but in all the paperwork required <br />DEC 1 1989 <br />p �A� <br />BOOK 1 8 Fr{iJE. 6: <br />
