BOOK 79 ri � r 2 <br />-7 <br />Peter Robinson pointed out that under the present ordinance, <br />if it is less than 10 acres in PRD, you don't have to provide <br />recreational facilities. He felt Policy 4.2 (a) would discourage <br />the small developer, and wished to know if this is saying it will <br />not be required in all PRDs. <br />Commissioner Bird suggested saying "within certain planned <br />residential developments," and this was agreed on. <br />OBJECTIVE 5 ACCESS <br />By 1995, the county will have increased accessability throughout <br />its park system, and will have eliminated any existing <br />constraints in the county's parks. - NO COMMENT <br />OBJECTIVE 6 <br />By 1995, the county will have increased access to the county's <br />major natural resources, including the Atlantic Ocean, Indian <br />River, Sebastian River, and freshwater lakes. <br />Commissioner Bird pointed out that Policy 6.4 says "The <br />county shall acquire one additional beach access on the south <br />barrier island by 1995." We already own 300' there that we are <br />not using, and he asked if we could say "develop" instead of <br />"acquire" as he felt it would be difficult to acquire another <br />piece. <br />It was agreed to change acquire to develop. <br />OBJECTIVE 7 RECREATION PROGRAMS <br />By 1995, the county will have a recreation program with a <br />recreation staff which adequately serves all geographic areas of <br />the county with a range of programs. - NO COMMENT <br />OBJECTIVE 8 OPEN SPACE <br />By 1995, the county will have at least 10 percent more publicly - <br />owner or publicly -controlled open space than it has in 1989. <br />- NO COMMENT <br />OBJECTIVE 9 <br />By 1995, the county will have increased the amount of green <br />area/open space within development projects. - NO COMMENT <br />142 <br />
