Gentile, C.E.T. <br />Civil Engineer <br />i <br />i <br />SUBJECT: Public Hearing for the Paving and Drainage Improvements <br />to: <br />1) 8th Avenue from 2nd Street to South Relief Canal <br />2) 9th Avenue from 2nd Street to South Relief Canal <br />3) 10th Avenue from 2nd Street to South Relief Canal <br />4) 13th Avenue from 2nd Street to 4th Street <br />5) 134th Street South of Roseland Road <br />DATE: February 1, 1990 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On January 16, 1990 the Board of County Commissioners adopted <br />five Resolutions, Nos. 90-6, 90-7, 90-8, 90-9, 90-10, providing <br />for certain paving and drainage improvements to: <br />1) 8th Avenue from 2nd Street to South Relief Canal <br />2) 9th Avenue from 2nd Street to South Relief Canal <br />3) 10th Avenue from 2nd Street to South Relief Canal <br />4) 13th Avenue from 2nd Street to 4th Street <br />5) 134th Street South of Roseland Road <br />On January 23, 1990, the Board of County Commissioners adopted <br />another Resolution No. 90-13 setting the date and time for a <br />Public Hearing to discuss the advisability, cost and amount of <br />the assessment against each property owner. This hearing is <br />scheduled for February 27, 1990. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />After hearing complaints and input at the Public Hearing and if <br />necessary, any adjustments to the assessment roll, it is <br />recommended that the Board of County Commissioners approve the <br />attached Resolutions confirming the assessment roll. If <br />adjustments or changes are made a new resolution will be brought <br />before the Board of County Commissioners for approval. <br />Chairman Eggert announced that she would like the Board to <br />take these projects up one at a time, and she asked if anyone <br />present wished to be heard in regard to the Paving and Drainage <br />Improvements assessments proposed for 8th Avenue from 2nd Street <br />to the South Relief Canal. There were none, and she thereupon <br />closed the public hearing on the 8th Avenue project. <br />Commissioner Scurlock inquired about the percentage in favor <br />of this project, and Mrs. Gentile advised that it exceeded 67%. <br />26 <br />
