Commissioner Scurlock explained that the question with regard
to abolishing the South County Fire Advisory Board first came up
in January of this year when the Board was reviewing the makeup
and functions of all the committees. The Board received a request
to reconsider whether or not there was any longer a need for the
existing Advisory Board in that it had not met for a significant
period of time.
