Baird, County Administrator <br /> From: Vincent Burke, P.E., Director of Utility Services <br /> Subject: Update Regarding the 2013 Amnesty Program for Certain Delinquency <br /> Charges <br /> DESCRIPTIONS AND CONDITIONS: <br /> On April 2, 2013, The Indian River County Board of County Commissioners passed an ordinance <br /> that established a five month long amnesty period for owners of ERU's which are reserved for <br /> future use. <br /> Attached is a summary of activity related to the Amnesty Program for Delinquency Charges As <br /> of August 31, 2013. <br /> Staff utilized various methods to notify customers of the program. In early April approximately <br /> forty letters and/or e-mail correspondence was sent to eligible customers. In addition, a public <br /> notice was published in the Vero Beach Press Journal on April 10, 2013 and an announcement <br /> was posted on the Indian River County Utilities web site (www.ircutilities.com/AmnestV- <br /> Program.pdf). Lastly, interested parties were asked to call Cindy Corrente at 772-226-1832 or <br /> Beth Messersmith at 772-226-1837 if they had any questions. A total of nineteen inquiries <br /> were received.
