LAWS OF FLORIDA 2181 <br /> Sections 35, 36 and the Fast half of Section 34, lying and being <br /> in Manatee County, Florida, also Section 1, 2 and the Inst half of <br /> Section 3 in Township 36 South, Range 20 Last, lying and being in <br /> Sarasota County, Flo%-oda, shall be subject to the payment of taxes <br /> sufficient to pay off and discharge said indebtedness. <br /> Section 3. For the purpose of assessing, levying and collecting <br /> such taxes, the County Commissioners of Manatee County, Florida, <br /> shall order a sufficient assessment made of the real and personal <br /> property within such territorial limits as shall lie within the County <br /> of Manatee, Florida, to pay off and discharge its just proportion <br /> of said indebtedness, and likewise the County Commissioners of <br /> Sarasota County, Florida, shall order a sufficient assessment made <br /> on the real and personal property within such territorial limits as <br /> shall lie within the County of Sarasotit. Florida, to pay off and dis- <br /> charge its just proportion of said indebtedness. Such proportions <br /> of said indebtedness shall be figured on the basis of the assessed <br /> valuations for State and County purposes. Such property shall be <br /> assessed by the County Assessor of the Taxes, and shall be collected <br /> by the Tax Collector of i,lie respective Counties. The proceedings <br /> in the assessments, collections, receipts and disbursements of such <br /> taxes shall be like the proceedings concerning County taxes as far <br /> as applicable, which taxes when collected shall be paid to the Treas- <br /> urer of the City of Verna, for the benefit of the creditors of said <br /> city. Such Treasurer shall hold office for the sole purpose of re- <br /> ceiving and paying out such funds and only so long as is necessary <br /> to carry out said trust. <br /> Section 4. Any and all tax assessments, rolls or levies heretofore <br /> made by the City of Verna and uncollected are now declared null <br /> and void. <br /> Section 5. All laws or parts of laws in conflict herewith are <br /> hereby repealed. <br /> Section G. This Act shall take effect immediately upon its passage <br /> and approval by the Governor, or upon its becoming a law without <br /> such approval. <br /> Approved June 7, A.
