<br /> in Indian River County, Florida; to Fix the Territorial Limits of
<br /> Such City; to Legalize and Validate the Ordinances of the
<br /> Abolished Municipality and Official Acts Thereon; to Validate,
<br /> Legalize, Ratify and Confirm the Ordinances and Resolutions,
<br /> Bonds, Certificates of Indebtedness and Obligations of the
<br /> Abolished Municipality of Vero Beach, Florida, as the Ordinances
<br /> and Resolutions, Bonds, Certificates of Indebtedness and Other
<br /> Obligations of the New Municipality of Vero Beach, Florida; to
<br /> Legalize, Validate, Ratify and Confirm all Contracts of the
<br /> Abolished Municipality of Vero Beach, Florida, Making Such
<br /> Contracts Binding Upon the New Municipality of Vero Beach,
<br /> Florida; to Provide and Specify How Such Municipality Sball
<br /> Be Governed, by What Officers It Shall Be Governed, and to
<br /> Fix and Prescribe the Jurisdiction and Powers of the Said City
<br /> of Vero Beach, Florida, and the Officers Thereof; and to Provide
<br /> for the Assessment,Levy and Collection of Taxes and Assessments
<br /> in and for the Said City.
<br /> Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
<br /> Section 1. That the municipal corporation now existing and
<br /> known as City of Vero Beach, in Indian River County, Florida, be
<br /> and the same is hereby abolished and a new municipality to be
<br /> known as City of Vero Beach, in Indian River County, Florida, is
<br /> hereby created and established to succeed such former municipality
<br /> of the City of Vero Beach, in Indian River County, Florida. City
<br /> of Vero Beach Beach,hereby created and established, shall embrace
<br /> and include all that territory situated and being in Indian River
<br /> County, Florida, described as follows, to-wit:
<br /> Beginning at the northwest corner of Section 7, Township 33,
<br /> South, Range 40 East, run east to the center of the navigation
<br /> channel of the Indian River,
<br /> Thence run southerly along the center of the said channel to a
<br /> point due west of the south line of Government Lots 3, 4 and 5 of
<br /> Section 8, Township 33 South, Range 40 East,
<br /> Thence run east along the south line of the said Lots 3, 4 and 5
<br /> to the Atlantic Ocean,
<br /> Thence run northerly along the Atlantic coast, including the
<br /> waters of the Atlantic Ocean within the limits of Indian River
<br /> County, Florida, to the east and west center line of Section 29,
<br /> Township 32 South, Range 40 East,
