Bourgeois, P.E., Project Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Amendment No. 1 to Indian River County Public Shooting Range <br />Improvements to Skeet & Trap Facility Professional Civil Engineering and <br />Architectural Services Consultant Agreement <br />RFQ No. 2013017 — IRC Project No. 1213 <br />DATE: March 7, 2014 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On July 9, 2013, the Board of County Commissioners approved a Professional Civil Engineering and <br />Architectural Services Consultant Agreement with Donadio & Associates, Architects, P.A. to provide <br />design, permitting, cost estimating, and post -design services for the expansion of the Indian River County <br />Public Shooting Range to include: <br />1. 40' x 20' CBS Storage Building <br />2. Four (4) each Hi/Lo Skeet & Trap Houses <br />3. Three (3) Combination Skeet & Trap Fields <br />4. Three (3) Trap Houses <br />5. Improvements to Sporting Clay course <br />6. 300 -yard Rifle Range <br />7. Vehicle parking area expansion <br />8. Stabilized parking area (for golf cart and overflow vehicles) <br />9. Repair two (2) existing rifle range baffles <br />10. Drainage modifications <br />11. Permitting <br />12. Parking lot lighting <br />13. Skeet & Trap field lighting <br />14. Landscaping <br />Following the completion of permit -ready design plans, approximately 16 acres of wetland impacts were <br />identified. In an attempt to reduce wetland impacts and construction costs, County staff coordinated <br />with the promoters of the Shooting Industry Masters event to identify the improvements necessary to <br />host the event in July 2014.
