Nuisance Abatement Assessment Timeline <br />October 1 — Building official, or staff under the direction of the <br />Code Enforcement Board, notifies the Board of County <br />Commissioners of unpaid assessments. Board <br />determines by supermajority vote which properties will be <br />proposed to have the assessment added to the tax roll as <br />a non -ad valorem assessment <br />December 1 — County begins publishing notice of intent to use <br />the uniform method of the collection of the assessment in <br />a newspaper for 4 consecutive weeks <br />January 1 - Board of County Commissioners adopts a resolution <br />stating its intent to use the uniform method of collecting the <br />assessment <br />June 1 - Property Appraiser's Office provides the County with <br />the electronic assessment roll form <br />September 15 — Board of County Commissioners adopts the <br />non -ad valorem assessment roll <br />March 31 - Property owner must pay assessments and taxes or <br />assessments and taxes become delinquent <br />ATTACHMENT 5C <br />64 <br />
