Kafer, Jr, PE <br />Indian River County <br />1801 27th Street <br />Vero Beach, Florida 32960 <br />RE: 491h Street / US1 Intersection Improvements <br />Professional Engineering Services <br />Dear Mr. Kafer: <br />Masteller & Moler, Inc. ("MM") is pleased to submit this letter agreement (the "Agreement") to <br />Indian River County ("the Client") for providing professional engineering services related to <br />roadway turn lane improvements for 49th Street & US 1 Intersection Improvements in Indian <br />River County. Our scope of services, schedule, and fee are below. <br />Based on our discussions it is understood the County desires designs to be developed for <br />construction of planned improvements to consist of roadway turn lane improvements at the <br />following locations: <br />1. Eastbound Left Turn Lane on 49th Street at Old Dixie Highway; <br />2. Eastbound Left Turn Lane on 49th Street at U.S. Highway# 1; <br />3. Northbound Left Turn Lane on Old Dixie Highway at 49th Street; and <br />4. Southbound Left Turn Lane on Old Dixie Highway at 49th Street. <br />The project will also include sidewalk improvements on both sides of 49th Street for the length of <br />the project improvements. Sidewalk will not be required on the west side of Old Dixie Highway. <br />The existing sidewalk on the east side of Old Dixie Highway will either be retained or <br />reconstructed if necessitated by the project improvements. <br />It is understood the Florida East Coast Railroad (FECRR) will perform all work required for <br />installation of the 49th Street Eastbound Left Turn Lane within the limits of their right-of-way. It is <br />further understood the FECRR will be making gate arm improvements as a result of the pending <br />"All Aboard Florida" (AAF) project.
