C. Proclamation - April 28 as No Hitters Day <br />PROCLAMATION <br />DESIGNATING APRIL 28, 1990 <br />AS NO HITTERS DAY IN <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />WHEREAS, violence breeds violence; and <br />WHEREAS, the disease of violence affects our county <br />physically, emotionally, mentally and economically, and impairs <br />the betterment of our community; and <br />WHEREAS, every individual use of violence within our <br />community affects and victimizes each and every citizen in our <br />county; and <br />WHEREAS, the quality of life in society and in the <br />citizens of this county depends on the promotion of peaceful <br />conflict resolutions: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that April 28, 1990 <br />be observed as <br />NO HITTERS DAY <br />in Indian River County, and the Board further urges the citizens <br />of this county to seek and utilize peaceful ways as an <br />alternative to violence, and to participate in those various <br />programs designed to promote peaceful conflict resolutions. <br />Adopted this 17th day of April, 1990 <br />APR 17 1990 <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />Carolyn Eggert, airman <br />5 BOOK <br />
