Keatin , AI <br />Community Development irector <br />THROUGH: Stan Boling AICP <br />Planning Director <br />FROM: Stan Boling AIICP <br />Planning Director <br />DATE: April 17, 1990 <br />SUBJECT: EXTENSION OF CONTRACT TO CONSTRUCT REMAINING SIDEWALK <br />IMPROVEMENTS IN THE WOODLANDS SUBDIVISION <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board -of County Commissioners at its regular <br />meeting of April 24, 1990.. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />At its regular meeting of November 3, 1987 the Board of County <br />Commissioners granted final plat approval for the Woodlands <br />subdivision, located on the north side of 1st Street S.W., to the <br />east -of The Meadows subdivision. At the time of final plat <br />approval, several required improvements were "bonded out": a <br />contract to complete construction was signed by the developer and <br />the county and security was posted to guarantee the contract. <br />Subsequently, on March 1, 1988, the Board reduced the original <br />security amount to cover the only remaining required improvement: <br />internal sidewalks. <br />Sidewalks have been provided with the subdivision as residences <br />have been constructed. About 360 of the internal sidewalk system <br />has been constructed in the manner. The developer wishes to <br />18 <br />
