APR 2 4 1990 r c <br />BOOK <br />Mr. Koolage hoped there then will be a shorter franchise <br />period than 20 years, and Commissioner Scurlock assured him we <br />will be negotiating that issue also. <br />The Chairman determined that no one else wished to be heard <br />and thereupon closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bowman, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 90-50 amending Resolution 82-51 to increase <br />the franchise fees to 6% for Treasure Coast Refuse <br />Corporation. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-50 <br />A.RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING <br />RESOLUTION 82-51, AS AMENDED BY RESOLUTIONS 86-23, <br />86-31, 86-114, 87-48, AND 88-107, WHICH NEW <br />AMENDMENT WILL INCREASE FRANCHISE FEES TO SIX <br />PERCENT FOR TREASURE COAST REFUSE CORPORATION, AND <br />REQUIRE FRANCHISE PAYMENTS TO BE MADE ON A <br />QUARTERLY BASIS. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY FLORIDA that, effective with the next billing <br />cycle, Treasure Coast Refuse Corporation shall pay to the County six <br />percent (6%) of gross revenues per fiscal year as a franchise fee for <br />its operation in Indian River County. Payment shall be paid to the <br />County on a quarterly basis, and shall be shown as a separate <br />additional charge on customers' bills. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner <br />Scurlock , who moved its adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Bowman and, upon being put <br />to a vote, the vote was as follows: <br />Chairman Carolyn K. Eggert Aye <br />Vice -Chairman Richard N.
