LIBRARY FURNISHINGS <br />The Board reviewed memo from General Services Director Dean: <br />DATE: MAY 2`, 1990 <br />TO: HONORABLE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />THRU: JAMES E. CHANDLER <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />FROM: H.T. "SONNY" DEAN, DIRECTO <br />DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: LIBRARY FURNISHINGS <br />BACKGROUND: <br />At the regular meeting on May 1, 1990, the Board deferred staff's <br />request to purchase the subject commodities on existing contracts <br />with other governmental entities. Staff was directed to provide <br />additional information as to specific contracts, vendors and their <br />locations. <br />ANALYSIS: - <br />Attached is a list provided by the interior design architect, with <br />the .:;requested information. One of the vendors is GSA (U.S. <br />Government —Contract which has been previously authorized by the <br />:Board to purchase from. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Staff requests approval and authorization to purchase library <br />furnishings from all other existing contracts with governmental <br />entities. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously approved <br />staff recommendation in regard to purchasing library <br />-furnishings. <br />INDIAN RIVER BLDV.
