I <br />I J U H 5 1990 <br />BOOK 80 PAGE 23E <br />performed within the technical requirements set forth in the <br />contract documents. We are now coming to the Board of County <br />Commissioners for approval of the final payment and release of lien <br />to Hydropro, Inc. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The final pay request is in the amount of $5,869.08. This amount is <br />composed of retainage in the amount of $3,668.17 and 3% balance due <br />of $2,200.91. The originally approved payment and performance bond <br />rolls over into a one year maintenance bond, and attached you will <br />find a copy of the release of lien. <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />final payment to Hydropro, Inc., be approved in the amount of <br />$5,869.08. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously authorized <br />final payment- to Hydropro, Inc. in the amount of <br />$5,869.08, as recommended by staff. <br />SCHEDULING OF JOINT MEETING WITH VERO BEACH CITY COUNCIL <br />The Commission scheduled a joint meeting with the Vero Beach <br />City Council for 3:30 o'clock P.M. on Friday, June 22, 1990, to <br />discuss the advantages and benefits of effluent reuse. <br />STATUS OF MANATEE PROTECTION PLAN <br />Commissioner Bird reported that he and Roland DeBlois, Chief <br />of Environmental Planning, attended a recent public hearing in <br />Cocoa after hearing they were going to discuss the proposed speed <br />restrictions in the Sebastian River portion of the manatee <br />protection plan. The map that was shown to them still showed <br />slow speed areas in all of the Sebastian River contrary to this <br />Commission's recommendation that a 20 -mph corridor be established <br />from the U. S. #1 bridge to the railroad trestle bridge. Mr. <br />Rose of the DNR explained that the map and the notice of the <br />meeting was done prior to their receiving IRC's input, and that <br />they still would be considering the County's alternate plan for <br />86 <br />
