the Sebastian River. Six people spoke in favor of the County's <br />plan, and one person spoke against it. The DNR will be <br />considering our alternate plan and making a recommendation to the <br />Governor and Cabinet later this month. <br />DISCUSSION REGARDING POSSIBLE DONATION OF 20 ACRES IN THE NORTH <br />COUNTY FOR COUNTY OFFICES <br />Commissioner Scurlock advised that he has been pursuing the <br />possibility of a donation of 20 acres in the 1-95/CR-512 area as <br />a site for a future north county office complex. He has been <br />talking to property owners in that area trying to see if there is <br />some sort of interest in conveying at no cost to the County some <br />property to locate a north county facility, as well as having a <br />potential site for water and sewer since that particular inter- <br />section is somewhat removed from our core utility system for <br />Sebastian. He received a letter from Darrel McQueen, who is <br />representing a client in the north county who is interested in <br />donating some land at that intersection, and he would like the <br />Board to authorize Administrator Chandler to proceed to see if, <br />in fact, we may be able to get a 20-acre.site donated. If we <br />never use it, so be it, but we could have some kind of a reverter <br />clause. <br />Chairman Eggert noted that there is another proposal for <br />donation coming before the Board next week. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously authorized <br />Administrator Chandler to pursue negotiation for <br />property at 1-95 and CR -512. <br />NOISE ORDINANCE <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 5/30/90: <br />87 <br />
