Davis, P.E., <br />��� Public Works Director DATE: June 6, 1990 <br />SUBJECT: Resolution Approving the Submittal of an <br />Application Under the State of Florida Beach <br />Erosion Control Assistance Program <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />During the April 10, 1990 Board of County Commission <br />meeting, the Board approved a work order for Coastal <br />Technology to apply for grant funding for <br />1) Dune walkovers and dune vegetation at Treasure <br />Shores Park (this project, since it is on state <br />owned land, may qualify for 100% funding). <br />2) Dune maintenance and walkovers at Golden Sands <br />Park. <br />3) Dune Maintenance at Wabasso Beach Park. <br />Projects # 2 and # 3 are maintenance projects needed to <br />place fill along the existing dune escarpment at Wabasso <br />Beach Park and Golden Sands Park. <br />RECOMMEIMATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Authorize the Chairman to execute the attached resolution, <br />authorizing the submittal of an application under the Beach <br />Erosion Control Assistance Program for the purpose of <br />requesting State financial assistance; designating Coastal <br />Technology to prepare and process an application on behalf <br />of the County and whereby the County agrees to implement the <br />program. <br />Funding <br />budget. <br />is proposed in Fiscal Year 1990/91 Parks Department <br />7-7 L- <br />_I <br />
