Director Davis noted that this is an item he is bringing <br />back before the Board. We have had to redefine some easements, <br />etc., to accommodate some drainage for the project, and after <br />further talks with the property owners, staff is now recommend- <br />ing the acquisition of the Crazy Woman properties. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously authorized <br />the Chairman to execute the contract to purchase r/w <br />parcels from Crazy Woman Properties, Inc., as recom- <br />mended by staff. <br />SAID CONTRACT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />CONTINUATION OF COURTHOUSE/JUDICIAL COMPLEX MASTER PLAN <br />DISCUSSION <br />Administrator Chandler reported that since the last meeting <br />on this subject, we have had the consultants look at the prop- <br />erties contained in Mr. Flick's concept; we have met with Mr. <br />Flick and his realtor, Tom Schlitt, and have obtained their <br />values; we have considered whether this property can accommodate <br />the 103,000 sq. ft. complex and parking garage; we have incorpor- <br />ated their land values into the plan presented by Halback for <br />comparison; and today we are trying to make a final determination <br />of where we are heading for a site. <br />Commissioner Scurlock believed our decision today then is <br />aimed towards siting, and then the next phase, once we have <br />selected a site, will be to authorize acquiring that site and <br />then develop a recommendation of how we are to go from there - <br />whether design/build, construction manager, etc. <br />21 <br />JUL 101990 <br />o off- 571 <br />
