Turnpike System: <br />SR60 Widening (I-95 - West County Line) <br />20 miles @ $1,000,000/mile = $20,000,000 <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />The County staff and Transportation Planning Committee concur that <br />the recommended list of projects should be submitted to the DOT <br />as additional projects for inclusion in the DOT Five -Year <br />Construction Plan, and that all existing projects in the <br />Five -Year Plan remain as programmed. <br />Director Davis introduced staff members from the District 4 <br />office of the FDOT - Joe Yesbeck, Director of Planning and <br />Programs, and Jamie Cochran, District Manager of Programming and <br />Contractual Services. <br />Mr. Yesbeck came before the Board, advised that the Governor <br />signed the new Transportation Bill into law on June 22nd, and <br />handed out the following: <br />7/23/90 <br />IMPROVED TENTATIVE WORK PROGRAM FOR FY 90/91 THROUGH FY 95/96 <br />Special Features: * New transportation revenue to ?DOT <br />(about $500 Million per year Statewide <br />over Five Years). <br />* Combination of additional fees and <br />four cent gas tax increase in each <br />county in District 4. <br />* Additional fees begin July 1, 1990# <br />Gas tax increase begins January 1, <br />1991. <br />* Appropriates $500 Million in Amendment <br />4 Bonds for advanced Right -of -Way - <br />acquisition. <br />18 <br />
