Box 3406 <br />Vero Beach, FL 32964 <br />This letter will serve as confirmation that the Citizen's <br />Committee for Children in favor of a Children's Services <br />Council has asked to be put on the August 14, 1990 County <br />Commission agenda for purposes of requesting that the County <br />Commission form a committee to evaluate children's services in <br />Indian River County. <br />The undersigned recommends that the committee be called the <br />"Children's Services Council" and that the composition of the <br />committee follow that set forth in Section 125.901, Florida <br />Statutes. It is further recommended that the committee <br />undertake an. analysis of the current budget and funding of <br />children's programs in Indian River County with a focus on <br />ascertaining the unmet needs of Indian River County's children, <br />utilizing the materials and documents already provided to the <br />County Commission by the undersigned. <br />Finally, the undersigned requests that the County Commission <br />act with all haste in forming the proposed committee and, in <br />that regard, will be at the. disposal of the County Commission <br />for recommendations and suggestions as to members of the <br />community to be _appointed to the committee, and to provide <br />input and information for any other questions or issues that <br />may arise. <br />We look forward to a continuing cooperative relationship with <br />the newly formed Children's Services Council. <br />Kindest regards, <br />George H. ss <br />Chairman izen's Committee for Children <br />Board of Governors <br />-19th Judicial Circuit <br />10 <br />- M M <br />
