AUG 21 1990 <br />From the above history, Staff has received and responded to <br />public input in the North County area. As evidenced by City of <br />Sebastian Resolution R-88-77, the City is supporting the Twin <br />Pairs Alignment. <br />The current status of the project is that the County's <br />consultant, Kimball/Lloyd, Inc. is currently splitting the <br />project into two phases. Phase One will include widening CR 512 <br />west of the Pelican Island Elementary School (west of the Twin <br />Pairs section) and will be implemented as soon as possible. <br />Phase Two will include constructing the new westbound lanes <br />within the railroad right-of-way along the Twin Pairs Alignment. <br />Since the railroad crossing issue is still unresolved, a schedule <br />for the Phase Two work has not been established. Staff is <br />currently negotiating with the F.E.C.
