AUG 211990 <br />BOU 81 5"V, <br />Commissioner Wheeler felt the Sebastian City Council should <br />initiate some action of its own to help get the crossing. <br />Commissioner Bird felt that people believe that the split <br />pair design is causing the delay and that the project would go <br />ahead faster if it was a single road design. <br />Director Davis believed that people don't realize that we <br />still would have to negotiate with the railroad in any case <br />because of the need to widen the roadway at the crossing or <br />getting a new crossing. <br />Commissioner Bird felt the answer today is to direct staff <br />to pursue the plan we have and push this matter to a <br />determination. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously directed <br />staff to move ahead on the twin pairs design and <br />expedite this as rapidly as possible to get a decision <br />and force a #120 hearing if necessary. <br />PHASE IV INDIAN RIVER BOULEVARD - RIGHT-OF-WAY PURCHASE - THOMAS <br />KENNEDY <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 8/14/90: <br />TO: James E.
