E. New Parking Lot - Administration Building <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 8/27/90: <br />DATE: AUGUST 27, 1990 <br />TO: HONORABLE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />THRU: JAMES E. CHANDLER <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />FROM: H.T. "SONNY" DEAN, DIRECTO <br />DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES. <br />SUBJECT: NEW PARKING LOT - ADMINISTRATION BUILDING <br />BACKGROUND: <br />At the regular meeting on Tuesday, August 14, 1990, the Board <br />authorized the construction of the subject parking lot. Due to the <br />construction schedule for 26th Street and 19th Avenue, staff is "fast <br />tracking" the project. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />Jim Davis indicated that his staff could not perform the necessary <br />engineering for this project in a timely manner, due to his priority <br />of other projects. Mr. Davis was doing business with Peterson and <br />Votapka, Inc. on other projects and knew they were available to start <br />work immediately. <br />FUNDING: <br />Mr. Peterson of Peterson & Votapka, has agreed to perform the <br />necessary design and engineering work at a fee of $40.00 per hour, <br />not to exceed $7,000.00. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS• <br />Staff has reviewed the proposal and recommends Board approval. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously approved <br />staff's recommendation as set out in the above memo. <br />13 <br />SEP 04 1990 <br />ROOK . 81 P,,U'E 11 <br />
