SEP 04 1990 <br />Commissioner Scurlock didn't want to see us ease up on the <br />pressure of having administrative hearings, and didn't want us to <br />accept the idea that this is a done.,thing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously scheduled <br />a Public Hearing for Wednesday, September 26, 1990, at <br />7:00 o'clock P.M. in the County Commission Chambers to <br />consider approving the stipulated settlement agreement <br />with the DCA, which would include all specific land use <br />map changes and specific policy changes and remedial <br />actions, and authorized staff to advertise notice of <br />such meeting. <br />APPROVAL OF MAINTENANCE CONTRACT FOR COUNTY TRUNKING RADIO SYSTEM <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 8/25/90: <br />TO: Board of County, Commissioners <br />FROM: Doug Wright, Director <br />Emergency Management Services <br />DATE: August 25, 1990 <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Maintenance Contract for <br />County Trunking Radio. System <br />It is respectfully requested that the information contained herein <br />be given formal consideration by the Board of County Commissioners <br />at the next scheduled meeting. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS:' <br />Indian River County has operational and owns an 800 Mhz Trunking <br />Radio System which is used by the various departments on a. daily <br />basis. The system is no longer under warranty and a maintenance <br />contract is needed to provide for continuity of service of the <br />major equipment located at Hobart Tower. <br />Communications International, the GE franchise operator for the <br />local area, proposed a contract which county staff has negotiated <br />to maintain the following equipment at Hobart Tower for the prices <br />indicated:, <br />51 <br />
