Wo <br />Commissioner Scurlock inquired if we have any ability to <br />defease that faster. <br />OMB Director Baird believed we,could look into it, but <br />advised that we have call provisions where we would have to pay a <br />premium, and Attorney Vitunac explained that while you can always <br />defease, whether or not you can pay the bond issue off early <br />depends on the call provision. <br />Chairman Eggert opened the public hearing on the Library <br />Bonds and asked if anyone wished to be heard. There being none, <br />she closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED .by Com- <br />missioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (4-0) approved <br />a tentative millage rate of .3594 for the Library Bonds <br />for FY 1990/91. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (4-0) approved <br />a tentative budget of $1,703,894 for the Library Bonds <br />for FY 1990/91. <br />SOUTH COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT <br />Administrator Chandler advised that the proposed budget of <br />$6.2 million contains an expense increase of approximately <br />$231,000, and the proposed millage rate is 1.6230, which repre- <br />sents an increase of 5.5% above rollback. The primary changes <br />are funding for replacement of a pumper and a fire rescue boat, <br />the addition of a fire inspector mid year, and a reserve for <br />salary adjustments, which adjustments are still under <br />negotiation. <br />Commissioner Scurlock wished to know if there is anything <br />relating to the revenue side in terms of charges for inspections, <br />12 <br />
