UW -89 -09 -DS <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Department of Utility Services is preparing the final payment to <br />Derrico Construction for the above -listed job and will be bringing <br />this to the Board in the near future. Therefore, we are now <br />proceeding with the final assessment for this project and are <br />seeking approval of Resolution No. 4. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The preliminary assessment was in the amount of $513,360.00, with a <br />cost per square foot of $0.154900942. The final assessment is in <br />the amount of $330,802.00, at a cost per square foot of $.099815999. <br />This equates to about a 35% reduction in the assessment. (See <br />attached Resolution No. 4 and accompanying assessment.) <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve Resolution No. 4 for the final <br />assessment role on this project. <br />6 <br />
