"SONNY" DEAN, DIRECTAES DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SER <br />SUBJECT: .SURPLUS KITCHEN EQUIPMENT - INDIAN RIVER COUNTY JAIL <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Indian River County School District requested the subject <br />equipment be transferred to them for their use. In return they would <br />be responsible for removal and would give us two mini school buses <br />for use in our Week -end Work Program. <br />ECOMMENDATIONS <br />Staff recommends approval of the above request in accordance with <br />State Statues. <br />Chairman Eggert noted that she pulled this item off the <br />Consent Agenda because of the new information about the School <br />District requesting this equipment and offering the use of two <br />mini school buses for our Week -end Work Release Program in <br />return. <br />Commissioner Wheeler wished it confirmed that there is none <br />of this equipment that we can use, and this was confirmed by <br />Director Dean. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by Commis- <br />sioner Bowman, the Board unanimously declared the <br />12 <br />0 <br />_I <br />
