Mrs. Christine McGriff, owner of the property, informed the
Board that they tore the back of the building all down, but she
needs a little more time to tear down the remainder and build a
shed where she can store her belongings. She would like to have
at least 2 to 3 months more; they are supposed to start building
a house in January.
Commissioner Scurlock asked if 60 days would be enough, and
Mrs. McGriff felt that it would.
ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com
missioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously allowed
Mrs. McGriff 60 days to complete demolition, and then
if nothing is done in that time, authorized staff to
proceed with the demolition and filing of a lien fo-r
costs.
CONDEMNATION OF UNSAFE STRUCTURE - 3000 4th STREET (SHOWALTER)
Building Director Rymer made the following presentation:
TO: Mr. James E.
